Pumpkin Carving
Andrew and Steven both carved their own pumpkins tonight - totally unassisted. They designed them and cut them. Pictures of the finished product will be posted later when we light them up and the boys have their costumes on.
Kendyl loved helping. She kept taking the seeds out of the collander, putting the spoons in the pumpkins, and trying to eat the seeds (and tasting the pulp). She had a good time. At one point she noticed Andrew had spoons near his pumpkin, crawled over to him and handed him a spoon. He said thank you, then put it back on the table. She handed it to him again - LOL. So he put the spoon in his pumpkin. I think he ended up with 3 spoons in his pumpkin.

Educational Pumpkin Decorating
Today I had the opportunity to spend some time in Steven's classroom. They were turning pumpkins into globes. They had to mark the Equator and Prime Meridian, then cut out their continents, place on the pumpkin, trace them, label them and label the oceans. Here is Steven's about 1/2 way done. It was nice to get to start to know the kids in his class. They were all so well-behaved!
When they were done their pumpkin, there was a Halloween packet to do. Then they were treated to a Phillies celebration! One of the teacher's mothers bought Philly Soft Pretzels in the shape of the Phillies P for the entire 3rd grade (I missed the snack as I had to get back to work).

Scout Halloween Party
Steven had me hold his apple while he went out to the haunted trail. Well, Kendyl LOVED it!! She spent a good amount of time biting and sucking it - yumm.
Dancing to the Halloween music with Daddy. Like his costume?!?!? He went as a parent - LOL. Normally he has his CubMaster shirt on, but since he was not running the show tonight (as great group of parents stepped up) he decided that was his costume (besides, Andrew was wearin his). Kendyl has on Halloween pants (with candy) and shirt "Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun".

Looking around the room last night - and the only sweet adorable "innocent" costumes were the sisters of the cubs. All of the boys had on scary, dark, mean costumes.
And here is Andrew - only for tonight. The boy scouts made a haunted trail around the church and graveyard for the cubscouts. I didn't get a chance to go, but the scouts and parents were raving about it. They spent weeks planning and it turned out great! They started off with a story (told by a kid in costume in a coffin) about a boy who haunts the area carrying a red lantern, as they proceeded through the trail, they would see this red lantern on the edges of the graveyard. They would join the group touring and scare them, run in-between and around the group, just continually popping out of no-where. Perfectly set for the age group they were entertaining and they had fun too. Looks like it will be a new tradition (and maybe a fundraiser). Oh, and evidently Andrew scared one of the leaders pretty good - ha ha!

Just Hanging Out!
Tim and Andrew left for a Boy Scout camping trip, so it's just Steven, Kendyl and I for the weekend. Just playing around and got a little video of her walking with a toy. Not too much longer before she's walking on her own! She does stand without holding on and starting to learch forward, and will walk well holding my hands or sometimes just one hand.
Watch out world - here comes Kendyl Pie!

Full Day of Fall Fun!
We went to Cherry Crest Adventure Farm along the Strausburg Railroad in Lancaster. So much fun! We spent 6 hours there, and the boys were still ready to do more.
Above is actually at the end of the day, Kendyl loved the pumpkin patch!
She looks a bit frightened, but really she was smiling the whole ride back to the weighing station. She seemed like such a big girl riding in the wagon.
There were several hay mazes. The boys were occupied in the big one, and there was a smaller one perfect for Kendyl to crawl around (and occasionally taste the hay).
One field is for picking popcorn! We picked 5 ears, we have to let them dry out for 3 weeks, then we can peel back the husks, put them in a bag, and pop in the microwave.
Here are 3 are riding the horses!
In the corn maze. Kendyl actually slept through 95% of it, which was perfect.
The pedal carts are one of the favorites!
A tractor pulled a train of wagons through the cornstalks.
Kendyl crawling through the haymaze. We call this her smooshy face. It's a Kendyl face we see alot - too cute!
I only took 158 pictures today - LOL. The sun ruined a lot of them, it was just too darn sunny and not a cloud in the sky. Makes for difficult picture taking, but we had an awesome day. Lots of family fun and good memories.

Hot Date Tonight!!!
Woohoo! I'm going on a date tonight!
Andrew, Steven and I are going to the mall. We rarely go to the mall, but a new Lego store opened at the KoP mall last weekend. We went to participate in the opening activities (boys got to help build a giant Yoda) and get the free goodies (you know how much Andrew loves legos!). Well the LINE to get into the store was well over an hour long just to get into the store. Sorry, no way, no how. So I promised to take them back this week, but tonight is our first opportunity. We'll hit the Lego store first, then take a walk to see what else is around as it's been so long since we just strolled the mall. We may even hit the outlets on the way home as we need a few things.
Tomorrow we have to sign up for diving, then we are off to celebrate fall with a cornmaze, hayride, etc. It's going to be a great day (provided I don't have another headache)!

Migraines
I am so sick of my migraines!!! Thankfully I have medication that works, but the frequency and fighting to get the meds as much as I need it is frustrating. Guess I need to make an appointment to see if I should go on the preventative med again. Ugh! I don't have time for headaches or for Dr. appointments.

The Birthday Party!
The Birthday Girl!!!Isn't she getting so big and mature looking?!?!Ok - I don't know why the cake picture is showing up like this?!?!? But here is her cake.
The pinata!
She didn't really care for the cake thing. A little bit of icing, then she was moaning for the ice cream. Black raspberry - her favorite and she ate a ton.
Trying to figure out the bracelet she got from Grandmom and Grandpop...she doesn't care for it, but it's beautiful.

Kendyl had a wonderful party. Good friends and family came to celebrate the day (including 2 great grandmothers and a great grandfather!). Thankfully it was gorgeous out and we could spend most of the time outside, but when it started to get chilly, we came in for cake. Kendyl didn't nap well, so she was a bit tired, but did really well considering - until present time anyway. She received many adorable outfits, shoes, a locket necklace and a gold bracelet.
Thank you everyone for helping to celebrate Kendyl's big day!

Happy 1st Birthday Kendyl
I can't believe my baby is one today. We started the day dark and early (5:30 am) with singing and cuddling while she had her bottle. She woke her brothers up then put on her birthday cupcake shirt, pose for her monthly picture (not very cooperatively), then we headed to Dunkin Donuts - a new birthday tradition started this year. Then off to Miss Jenn's with her plate full of pink and purple sugar cookies to share with her friends.
After she came home, we spread gift giving throughout the night so she could enjoy her toys, and to not overwhelm her. Here is the peek a block barn - she loves it!
Opening a puzzle from Andrew. She is a natural at opening gifts.
I made her a cake today, but she wanted nothing to do with it - lol. She just wanted the ice cream.....guess next year we will be getting her an ice cream cake.
Tomorrow is the big party!
