Kendyl's Photo Shoot

These are a few of the photos from Kendyl's first professional photo shoot today (75 photos!). She was a natural for the camera (hmmmmmmmm, has she had some practice at home?!?!?) and we captured so many of her faces - I can't wait to print more and do a layout as it's so hard to get some of them on camera. I picked a few different ones to brag about here, I don't even think they are the ones we printed. They were all sooooooooooo good. Gotta love the digital age where you get the disk in your package!

Tim hates the photo below - but I couldn't resist. Bare girl with pink boa and pearls!

Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts

Andrew graduated into BoyScouts on April 23. Five years of Cub Scouts and he is continuing into Boy Scouts. All 8 in his den graduated, but only 4 went onto Boy Scouts. He will begin this coming Wednesday with a pool party and there is already a camping trip planned. Troop 100 is active and I'm sure Andrew will enjoy it!
It was weird, at the ceremony all the BoyScouts were there to perform the ceremony and welcome the boys, but there were no parents around (only the leaders). Such a change from CubScouts as there were always a ton of parents around. Sniff, sniff. I'm not sure I'm ready for this!

Thank you Ms. McGowan!

Thank you for the soft, fluffy pillow you made - I love it!!!! I came right home and laid on it to watch a movie, and slept for a few hours. When I woke up, mom took this picture. It's perfect! Thank you!!!!

Steven's Surgery

Steven had his surgery today to remove the cyst in his ear. He was happy before the surgery, with his friends Brucey and Bill (see their name tags and hats!) Everything went well. The cyst was attached to his ear drum, so the surgeon removed some skin from behind his ear to repair the eardrum.
After surgery, Steven was a bear. Angry and upset. He just wanted to go home and get the cover off his ear. It was a mean side of Steven we didn't like. He rode out to the car in a wheel chair, then slept all the way home. He watched part of a movie (Alvin and the Chipmunks), then fell asleep for 2+ hours. Once he woke up, he was the old Steven again that we know and love!
Thanks for coming Mom, but sadly, Steven doesn't even remember. He doesn't even remember riding in the wheelchair! Poor baby.

Winn Kids are Growing!

All three had their well visits last Thursday, and here are the current stats:

Andrew - 10 years 9.5 months old
4 ft. 9.5 inches tall
87.5 lbs
He is in the 75% percentile for both height and weight and is very healthy.

Steven - 8 years old
4 ft. 5.25 inches tall
62.75 lbs
He is in the 95 percentile for height, and 75-90th for weight. Very healthy.

Both boys received the chickenpox booster and Hepatitis A vaccine. They were so brave!

Kendyl - 6.5 months old
2 ft. 2 inches tall (she's grown 5 inches since birth!)
16.1 lbs (she's gained 7.5 lbs since birth)
She is in the 55th percentile for both height and weight - our little peanut!
She also got 2 vaccines as we are now using a delayed vaccination schedule of getting 2 at a time (instead of the 4 they recommend). So we will go back in a month for the next 2.

All very healthy and happy.

Baseball Season!

Baseball season started a few weeks ago. I really need to take more photos, but here are a few. Andrew is on the Brewers. He is currently playing mostly left field, but had started pitching again, and is an amazing hitter (currently 2nd in the batting order). These photos are from Kendyl's first game, dressed in the Yankees outfit Andrew bought her before she was born, and the Yankees hat he got her for Christmas.

Steven's Special Day

Steven and I have been planning his special day for awhile (since February)! He knew he wanted to go to the Playmobil store (Woodbridge, NJ) so I found a few things in the area, and ultimately we decided to go to the Liberty Science in NJ, just across the river from NYC. It's actually in Liberty State Park - home of The Statue of Liberty. We were able to see her from the road, but decided to do the musuem first. Above Steven is at the Skyscraper exhibit - walking on beams 1.5 floors above the ground - cool! He didn't get too far before fear took over, but I am so proud he tried it! Below was in the health sciene area where you could be a scientist and we were working on HIV antibodies (not real!). This was one of his favorites.

Here we are as close to The Statue of Liberty as we could get without hopping on the ferry. We decided to wait for Andrew and Tim and make that a family trip. It was quite windy, but such a nice day!
Then we went to dinner at the Rainforest Cafe - yumm, and so much fun! Finally we got to the Playmobil store. He used his birthday money to treat himself to more toys. He really does play with them everyday, so who can complain. He is using his imagination daily. He was able to get a spy car and police car for his police/robber set; a dentist set and operating set for his hospital. He was a great shopper as it was buy 1 get 1 50% off!
We had a great time and can't wait to have another special day!

Steven is 8!

Where did the time go?!?!? Here is Steven in his annual picture with Tigger. I'll have to scan and post a few of these from the past so you can see how much he has grown.
Steven had quite a birthday! His birthday fell on the day the scouts were camping at the Franklin Institute, so we celebrated over breakfast. He woke up to balloons on his bed and his door covered in streamers. Then we had a donut family breakfast (we never eat breakfast together during the week) with lots of candles. He celebrated at school with soft pretzels, and Daddy picking him (and Andrew) up at noon to go to the FI early. They had tickets to see the Star Wars exhibit and tour the museum early. Thanks to one of the dads for tipping off FI, as right before the IMAX film, the entire theater sung to Steven. What a memorable day!

Look Who's 6 Months Old Already!!!!

I can't believe how quickly this time has gone. I guess that's because we are having so much fun with her. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect little girl for our family. She totally adores her brothers, smiles at everything and for everyone, has the best laugh - and sleeps like a champ! Her pleasant disposition and great sleeping habits allow us to still spend time with the boys and each other. We had no idea what we were missing and are so glad she is a part of our family!
Happy 6 Months Pie!
